ROXY
My name is Roxy. I am an F1 Labradoodle. An F1 is a first generation cross between a standard Poodle and a Labrador retriever.
I was born December 2, 2004.
Fred has three generations of breeding history which can be provided.
Before considering to breed me, Fred had my eyes checked and a CERF report done.
CERF (the Canine Eye Registration Foundation) is a centralized, national registry of dogs certified free of heritable eye disease by members of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists.
He then had my hips checked by the OFA which is a non-profit organization that collates and disseminates information concerning orthopedic and genetic disease of animals and my OFA registration states that my hips are "excellent". I could have told him that.
My puppies are F1Bs because I was bred to an AKC standard Poodle. That is, I have been "back bred". Hence the designation F1B for my pups.
